TappingMode EC Probe Holder

The Dimension Icon can be equipped with an optional probe holder, the TappingMode EC Fluid Probe holder, shown in Figure 1, that allows for TappingMode in fluid and incorporates a Kalrez® boot designed to work with the Dimension General Purpose Electrochemistry Cell. This probe holder incorporates a tapping piezo that is sealed to the environment by Torr Seal, a high vacuum epoxy. A spring-loaded platinum-iridium (80/20) clip, shown in Figure 2, secures the probe. This clip is sealed by two Kalrez O-rings while the center glass window is sealed by one Kalrez O-ring. A Teflon® FEP snorkel allows for venting from the Dimension General Purpose Electrochemistry Cell that may occur when engaging. These snorkels are pre-shrunk to fit the probe holder at the factory.
